ISLAMABAD, Jun 15 (APP): Minister of State and Special Assistant (SAPM) to the Prime Minister on Digital Media, Fahd Haroon on Monday highlighted Pakistan’s pivotal contribution to the historic peace process between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing the breakthrough as a landmark achievement for regional and global stability.
In a statement issued on social media platform X, Fahd Haroon noted that a peace agreement between the two nations has reportedly been reached, with an official signing ceremony scheduled to take place in Switzerland on June 19.
Paying tribute to the national leadership, Fahd Haroon credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their strategic vision and steadfast commitment, which he said were instrumental in advancing the negotiations toward a successful conclusion.
“Peace has prevailed,” he stated, adding that the agreement represented a historic milestone in international diplomacy and a testament to Pakistan’s constructive engagement on the world stage.
Fahd Haroon further affirmed that Pakistan’s contribution to this breakthrough would be long remembered, and expressed confidence that the agreement would pave the way for enduring stability in the region. He emphasised that the development reflected Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to fostering dialogue, mutual understanding, and lasting peace among nations.
