Salman bin Ibrahim arrives in Pakistan on official visit

ISLAMABAD, Nov 4 (APP): President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Senior Vice President of FIFA, and a distinguished member of the Royal Family of Bahrain, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa on Tuesday arrived in Pakistan on an official visit.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination warmly received the esteemed guest and his delegation upon their arrival at the Islamabad International Airport, said a statement issued here.

President of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Mohsin Gillani, Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Secretary General Sonam Jigmi, and other officials were also present to welcome Sheikh Salman.

According to the official statement, Sheikh Salman’s visit will span three days. Under the directive of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, he has been accorded the status of a ‘State Guest’ during his stay.

During the visit, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa is scheduled to hold meetings with Pakistan’s leadership.

Discussions will focus on the development of football infrastructure in the country, the promotion of sports and youth engagement, and opportunities for cooperation in sports development projects in Pakistan.
