Salaries paid to daily- wages teachers: Dr. Tariq Fazal

ISLAMABAD, Jan 18 (APP): State Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Monday apprised the National Assembly that monthly salaries had been paid to all 20,000 daily- wages teachers working
at 422 schools of the capital.
Responding to a point of order of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA, Asad in which he sought details regrading protesting daily-wages teachers at D-Chowk and their demands,
the minister said that Finance Ministry had released Rs 140 million for payment of salaries of daily-wages teachers and this amount would be enough till June 2016.
He assured the house that daily-wages teachers would not be
laid off, adding committee had been constituted on the
direction of Islamabad High Court to submit its
recommendations regarding regularization of daily-wages teachers.
He said that Ministry of CADD had already requested the
committee to submit its recommendations at the earliest.
