ISLAMABAD, Jun 25 (APP):Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Kainat Azhar Khan, visited the route of main Muharram procession in Islamabad’s G-6 area on Thursday morning to review traffic management and oversee security-related arrangements.
           While speaking to media channels during her visit, the CTO inspected deployment plans, monitored the flow of traffic and issued instructions to officers performing duty along the procession route.
           She emphasized the importance of maintaining smooth traffic movement while ensuring the safety of participants and the general public.
           Kainat Azhar Khan urged procession participants and residents of the federal capital to maintain discipline, follow traffic advisories, and cooperate fully with police personnel deployed on the routes.
             She also appealed to citizens to park their vehicles and motorcycles only in designated areas to avoid congestion and facilitate emergency access if needed.
           According to the traffic police, more than 350 officers have been deployed to manage traffic and assist commuters during the main Muharram procession.
             Special arrangements have been put in place to minimize inconvenience and ensure orderly movement around the affected areas.
             The CTO said that effective coordination between citizens and law enforcement agencies was essential for the peaceful conduct of religious events and asked road users to exercise patience and comply with directions issued by traffic officials throughout the day.
