Sadequain Foundation, Gallery 21 Surah Rahman exhibition continues in capital

ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 (APP):The SADEQUAIN Foundation, in collaboration with Gallery 21, is holding an exhibition of Surah Rahman calligraphies titled “A Holy Month of Ramzan Exhibition: SADEQUAIN Surah Rahman Calligraphies (Giclée Reproductions)” in the federal capital.

Curated by Zohaib Ch, the exhibition presents Sadequain’s landmark calligraphic masterpieces that transformed the art of calligraphy in Pakistan.
Speaking to APP, Zohaib Ch, Director Planning and Promotion of the SADEQUAIN Foundation, said that the special exhibition celebrates the timeless calligraphic works of Sadequain during the holy month of Ramzan.
Sharing the details, officials said the exhibition is ongoing from February 27 and will conclude March 25, with visiting hours daily from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, except Fridays, at Gallery 21, Islamabad.
The collaborative display by SADEQUAIN Foundation and Gallery 21 features high-quality giclée reproductions of Sadequain’s celebrated Surah Rahman calligraphies, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the works of one of the country’s greatest artists.
In conversation with APP, Dr. Salman Ahmad, Founder of the SADEQUAIN Foundation, stated, “Art and literature are the identity of a nation. Sadequain’s contribution to the field of arts is enormous, and his role in shaping our national identity is unparalleled. As a nation, we are deeply grateful to him.”
Dr. Farruk Sier, Founder of Gallery 21, told APP that it was a proud moment to announce that Gallery 21 has dedicated a permanent space to the works of Sadequain in collaboration with the SADEQUAIN Foundation.
“This initiative provides a valuable opportunity for students, art lovers, and members of civil society to visit, learn, and appreciate Sadequain’s remarkable contributions to the artistic and cultural identity of our nation,” he added.
Publications by Dr. Salman Ahmad on Sadequain will also be on display during the exhibition. The exhibition is open to students, researchers, art enthusiasts, and the general public.
