ISLAMABAD, Dec 09 (APP):Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has called corruption the biggest obstacle to Pakistan’s development and urged all citizens to play their role in eliminating it.
In a strong message on International Anti-Corruption Day, Rubina Khalid emphasized that transparency, integrity, and accountability are the foundations of a strong Pakistan.
She stated that BISP is committed to ensuring a transparent, fair, and efficient system for delivering financial assistance to deserving families.
“Corruption is an unforgivable crime against the nation’s resources. We are strictly implementing a zero-tolerance policy against it,” she said, reaffirming BISP’s commitment to clean governance.
She further highlighted that BISP’s support reaches beneficiaries directly through a fully transparent disbursement mechanism, ensuring that the aid goes to the rightful recipients without any interference.
Senator Rubina Khalid also underscored the critical role of youth in fighting corruption, stating that a clean and honest system is essential to provide real relief to the underprivileged and to guarantee national progress.
“A corruption-free system is the real guarantee of trust and development,” she added, urging society to unite in the fight against corrupt practices.
