ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP): The federal government has allocated RS 224,709 million under Public Service Development Programme (PSDP) for Communications Division in the fiscal year 2026-27.
According to a budgetary document released here on Friday, an amount of Rs 194.540 million has been allocated for Communications Division and Rs 224,514.510 million for the National Highway Authority (NHA).
Some key ongoing schemes of Communications Division include Construction of NHMP Building for SSP/LHQ 90km North at E35, Mansehra at a cost of 134.641 million while for Construction of GPO Building Cum Postmaster Residence at Tank District Dera Ismail Khan an amount of Rs 1 million was earmarked.
An amount of Rs 48.899 million was earmarked for 1xDormitory for 200 students at CTTI Islamabad. Under new scheme an amount of Rs 10 million was earmarked for Automation of Post Office.
Under ongoing schemes of National Highway Authority (NHA), an amount of Rs 22,000 million was kept for Dualization of Khuzdar-Kuchlak Section of National Highway(N-25): Length 330.52Km; Dualization and Rehabilitation of Karachi Quetta-Chaman Road (N25) from Karachi-Kararo (232KM) & Wadh-Khuzdar (41 KM) having total Length 273KM at a cost of Rs 30,000 million; Rs 48,000 million was earmarked for Dualization of Kararo-Wadh Section (83 KM)& Kuchlak-Chaman Section (104KM) of National Highway(N-25) Length: 187KM.
Construction of Hyderabad – Sukkur (306 KM), 6-Lane divided, fenced Motorway on Build Operate Transfer (BOT) basis – 2nd Revised at a cost of Rs 30,000 million; Dualization of Indus Highway (N55) Sarai Gambila to Kohat Section at a cost of Rs 2,625.845 million; Rehabilitation & Reconstruction of (N-5) from Moro to Ranipur Km. 318-404 (NBC/SBC) & 32 x Damaged Bridges under ADB Flood Emergency Loan (ADB Funded) at a cost of Rs 9,000 million; Relocation of KaraKorum Highway between Thakot & Raikot due to Construction of Dams on River Indus (102KM) (China EXIM Funded) at a cost of Rs 5000 million and Kharian – Rawalpindi Motorway at a cost of Rs 1,000 million.
An amount of Rs 5000 million was kept for Indus Highway (N-55) Additional Carriageway project (ShikarpurRajanpur Section) Length 221.9 KM (ADB Funded); Construction of Rajanpur-DG Khan Section of N-55 as 4-lane Highway (121.50 KM) (ADB Funded) Rs 5000 million was earmarked.
