ISLAMABAD, Sep 23 (APP):Renowned Urdu poet and broadcaster Tabish Dehlvi was remembered on his 22nd death anniversary on Wednesday.
Dehlvi was widely recognized as a prominent figure in Urdu poetry.
He began his professional career as a newsreader in 1941 under the name Masood Tabish and later joined Radio Pakistan following the partition.
During his illustrious career, he received several national and international honours, including the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz awarded by the Government of Pakistan.
He passed away in Karachi on September 23, 2004.
He is remembered for his contribution to Urdu literature as well as his distinguished career in broadcasting.
