Religious Ministry mulls presenting five years Hajj Policy: Minister ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (APP):Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri Tuesday said the government was contemplating to present five years Hajj Policy this year to help overcome problem of delay in implementation. Speaking in a Hajj Conference 2019, titled Training and Guidance to Hujjaj, organized by Hajj Organizers of Pakistan (HOAP), he said the Hajj Policy announce every year causes delay in implementation of the Policy due to variety of reasons. The Ministry intends to hire building for three years if the rules of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) allow. He said he will strive hard to make Hajj of 2019 as best ever Hajj. He has already asked the Ministry officials to compare their Hajj packages with Indonesia, India, Nigeria, Bangladesh and adopt positive aspects of their Hajj policies. Regarding 2000 Saudi Riyal fee imposed on multiple Umrah performers by Saudi authorities, he said it would hopefully be waived off soon. He asked Hajj Group Organisers (HGOs) to ensure provision of excellent services to their Hajj clients. The complaints including of building hired far from Hijaz-e-Muqaddas and not fulfilling the commitments should be addressed. He assured them to work with them for the betterment of Pakistani hujjaj. Ministry and HOAP should maintain a close liaison for providing facilities to hujjaj. The process to make the hajj as easy as affordable should jointly be made. Earlier, Chairman HOAP Naveed Iqbal Butt assured HGOs cooperation to the Ministry for providing maximum facilities to hujjaj. He said HOAP should be taken on board while making hajj policy. Proper training of pilgrims should be ensured before going to Hajj. The policy of first come first serve should be continued.
