Religious Minister favours FPCCI demand for KSA multiple visa

ISLAMABAD, Jul 15 (APP): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf Friday supported the demand of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) for issuance of one-year multiple visit visa to businessmen for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

According to FPCCI statement, the minister while talking to the delegation of the federation said fixing Hajj quota for the business community would be seriously considered.

He said that arrangements for Hajj have been improved, however said that the opinion of stakeholders was very important for further improvement.

The delegation was led by President FPCCI Abdul Rauf Alam while the other members included Vice Presidents of FPCCI Zafar Bakhtwari and Sajida Zulfiquar, group leader and former president ICCI Khalid Jaweed, Karim Aziz Malik, Malik Sohail.

Sardar Yousuf said that the ministry was trying to increase Hajj quota so that maximum number of people can avail the facility while twenty-five nominees of the Apex chamber would be sent to Hajj on the last flight, the statement added.

Earlier, President FPCCI Abdul Rauf Alam multiple visa for at least 400 traders will reduce cost of doing business and increase bilateral trade between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

He said that Hajj arrangements have been improved significantly which indicates positive efforts by the concerned minister. He also demanded special Hajj quota for the business community.
