ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (APP):Minister for Interior Brig (R) Ijaz Ahmad Shah Wednesday said that regional peace was mandatory for global harmony.

“Achieving regional peace is significant for global harmony and we are playing our role to achieve this objective” the minister expressed these views during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing.

“Pakistan’s role in achieving regional peace is irreplaceable. We appreciate the government’s stance on current International matters” said Yao Jing.

He said that Chinese Interior Minister would visit Pakistan soon and China was extremely grateful to the Ministry of Interior for extending cooperation and help for upcoming visit arrangements.

Last time, the Interior Minister of China visited Pakistan in 2014 and China was hopeful that this visit would play a great role in further strengthening ties between the two countries, the Ambassador added.

He said that China was proud of the fact that mutual ties between the two countries had become stronger over the years.

Brig (R) Ijaz Shah said that Pakistan-China friendship had been through thick and thin together and there was no external threat to bond of Pakistan and China.

While discussing CPEC progress, the Interior Minister said that all CPEC projects would be successfully completed at their designated time. He also said that government would ensure cooperation on all levels.

The Chinese Ambassador invited Minister for Interior Brig (R) Ijaz Ahmad Shah to visit China and said that it would have a great impact on bilateral relations.

During the visit of Chinese Interior Minister, MoUs and agreements of mutual benefits will be signed between the two countries.

Yao Jing thanked the Minister for his time and said that we hope our ties would grow even stronger over time.
