Regional peace imperative for economic progress: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD, Dec 27 (APP): Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal has said regional peace was imperative for economic progress in the country.

The Minister said this while talking to different delegations in Makkah Mukarramah, Radio Pakistan reported.

Ahsan Iqbal said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had multiplied responsibilities of Pakistan. The project had enhanced strategic importance of the country in the region, he added.

Ahsan Iqbal said new projects in energy and infrastructure would give a boost to economic activities.

He said Pakistan had the potential to join the top 25 economies of the world by 2025.

He said the government was providing all possible financial assistance to the youth to enable them contribute to national progress.
