Reforms is necessay in health sectors: Imran Khan

PESHAWAR, Nov 7 (APP): Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran
Khan on Saturday said that reforms in health sector is necessary to provide quality health facilities to the people.
Addressing media after launching fund raising campaign of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center here at Hayatabd Peshawar. He said at first we will change the management in government-run hospitals to improve their performances.
Imran Khan said that “doctors are respectable but some doctors did not want to made reforms in health adding that not want to implement the Medical Teaching Act 2015 just for their own interest which is injustice with the people of the province.”
PTI Chief said that “If we can build a hospital of International standards then why not we upgrade government hospitals to provide the best health facilities to poor people.”
Total of Rs 320 million have been spent so far on Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital in KP but still Rs 80 million were required for its completion, while some departments will be functional by December 29 he added.
