The Ministry of Law and Justice on Thursday issued a notification regarding the appointment of former Additional Attorney General Rana Asadullah Khan as Chairman of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST).

ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP): The Ministry of Law and Justice on Thursday issued a notification regarding the appointment of former Additional Attorney General Rana Asadullah Khan as Chairman of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST).
The notification said that Rana Asadullah Khan, ASC, has been appointed Chairman of the Federal Service Tribunal for a non-extendable term of three years with effect from the date he assumes charge of the post. He will be entitled to such pay, allowances and other perks and privileges as may be prescribed from time to time.
Meanwhile, following his appointment, Rana Asadullah Khan expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by Prime Minister and said he would discharge his responsibilities with honesty, impartiality and responsibility in accordance with the Constitution and law. He said that the confidence shown by the Prime Minister was an honour for him and he would use all his abilities to live up to it.
Rana Asadullah Khan said the Federal Service Tribunal was an important legal and administrative forum for providing justice in service-related matters concerning government employees.
He said that he would give priority to the principles of rule of law, merit and justice while performing his duties.
He also expressed gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, saying that he would perform his responsibilities with a spirit of national service and play his role in ensuring justice and supremacy of law.
