ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP):Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Wednesday met Asian Development Delegation (ADB) delegation and discussed issues related to Pakistan Railways.
The minister during the meeting said, “Railways’ upgradation is the priority of the government.”
The delegation was led by Asian Development Bank (ADB), Pakistan Country Director Xiahong Yang, said a press release.
Sheikh Rashid asked the delegation to give concrete proposals so that Pakistan Railways can work on them.
ADB country Director said that ADB is strategic partner of Pakistan Railways (PR). She said, that ADB can provide technical assistance in up-gradation of Marshaling Yard Pipri, Mughalpura Workshop and capacity building of Railway employees.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman Muhammad Javed Anwar, Secretary Railway Board Farukh Taimur Ghilzai and DG Planning.
