ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP):Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Wednesday paid tribute to the Pakistan Army for their bravery in a successful counterterrorism operation in Orakzai, which resulted in the elimination of 19 terrorists operating under Indian backing.
The operation, however, claimed the lives of 11 courageous soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif and Major Tayyab.
“The courage and sacrifice of our armed forces in Orakzai set a new example of bravery,” Minister Hanif Abbasi said. “The nation stands united in saluting these heroes who laid down their lives for peace and stability.”
Offering prayers for the martyrs, he expressed deep condolences to their families. “We express heartfelt solidarity with the families of the fallen. Their sacrifice is the foundation of our nation’s security and will never be forgotten,” the minister added.
The railway minister further reaffirmed the armed forces’ determination to rid the country of terrorism. “The resolve of our army is now stronger than ever. This war will continue until terrorism is completely eradicated,” he declared.
Highlighting the broader significance of the operation, the minister said it underscores Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to peace and stability in the region. “Our heroes’ sacrifices strengthen our unity and inspire us to ensure a safer future for Pakistan,” he concluded.
