ISLAMABAD, Sep 01 (APP): Radio Pakistan and Youth Forum for Kashmir on Thursday organized a condolence reference here to pay tributes to Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani on his first martyrdom anniversary.
Minister for Human Rights Riaz Hussain Pirzada, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said Syed Ali Gilani was the symbol of Kashmiri freedom movement. “Gilani always raised the slogan that we are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours,” he said. He said this slogan is reverberating in every part of the world.
The minister said Kashmiri people want solution of Kashmir dispute in line with the United Nations’ resolutions.
He urged the UN, OIC and Amnesty International to take concrete steps for the resolution of this outstanding dispute.
Others participants also paid glowing tributes to Syed Ali Geelani for his lifelong struggle for the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people.
