Radio Pakistan to be available on cellular phones; DG Radio

ISLAMABAD, Dec 2 (APP): Radio Pakistan would be making
available all of its channels on cellular networks soon to increase
its coverage, Director General Radio Pakistan, Syed Imran Gardezi
said.
He was speaking here at the oath-taking ceremony of All
Pakistan Radio Officers Association here at the Mehdi Hassan Concert
Hall.
He appreciated the realization by professional staff to revive
and revamp the prestigious organisation. He said Radio Pakistan
would soon be putting all of its news and entertainment channels on
mobile phones to enhance its revenue.
The DG said video conference of the senior broadcasters across
the country has been planned every month to produce popular
programmes. He said a think-tank of veteran broadcasters has also
been setup for improvement in the quality of programmes.
He urged all wings of Radio Pakistan to work together to take
the organization competitive. The Director General said steps have
also been taken to enhance the income of Radio Pakistan.
Newly-appointed chairman, Abdul Waheed Sheikh and President
Naveed Ahmed Chauhan also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, the
Director General administered oath to the office-bearers of the
association.
