ISLAMABAD, Jan 06 (APP): Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has initiated a major step towards digital transformation with the launch of the Digital Office Management System (DOMS), also referred to as the e-Office system. This system aims to replace conventional paper-based workflows with secure, efficient, and transparent digital processes across all administrative and academic offices.
DOMS enables faculty and administrative staff to electronically create, forward, track, and archive official files. Each user is provided with a personalized digital workspace (“My Desk”) that displays pending actions, urgent files, and completed tasks, ensuring efficiency and clarity in official correspondence. The system maintains complete audit trails, promoting transparency and accountability in decision-making.
The DOMS significantly reduces administrative workload, minimizes delays, and ensures easy access to official records. The initiative also supports environmental sustainability through reduced paper consumption.
This digital initiative has been generously contributed and supported by QAU Alumni as a meaningful investment in their Alma Mater. Their contribution reflects a strong sense of ownership, trust, and commitment towards the long-term modernization and institutional strengthening of QAU.
The staff participation and active use of DOMS are vital for the success of this initiative. Collective adoption will help establish a transparent, efficient, and future-ready working environment at Quaid-i-Azam University.
Together, faculty, alumni, and administration are shaping a smarter, greener, and digitally empowered QAU.
