Punjab Governor distributes relief goods among quake affectees
MIRPUR (AJK): Oct 01 (APP):Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar Tuesday visited earthquake-stricken Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir to assess the loss besides, express sympathies with the affectees.
Accompanying his spouse Begam Perveen Sarwar, the Governor visited Mirpur Divisional Headquarters Hospital and inquired about the well being of the victims under treatment in the hospital.
The governor distributed relief goods consisting of tents, blankets, sugar and flour bags, worth Rs. 50 million.
Ch Muhammad Sarwar also announced aid for reconstruction and rehabilitation of earthquake victims’ houses.
Talking to media the Governor said: “Kashmir is Pakistan’s jugular vein and we are ready to sacrifice our lives for it under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
