LAHORE, July 15 (APP): Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana called on Prime Minister Muahmmad Nawaz Sharif at the Governor’s House on Friday.

The Punjab governor briefed the prime minister about the pace of on-going development projects in the South Punjab.

He also apprised Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif about the performance of universities in the province.

The Prime Minister directed to award priority status to the development projects in the South Punjab, besides introducing practical steps towards fulfilling basic needs, especially water supply and sewerage in the area.

The prime minister also directed the vice chancellors to ensure measures for raising academic standards of the universities.
