ISLAMABAD, Feb 04 (APP):The Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) has announced that Friday, February 6, will be observed as a Day of Condemnation in response to the recent terrorist incident in Balochistan.
According to a statement issued by the council on Wednesday, tributes will be paid on the day to the martyrs and veterans, as well as to the Pakistan Army, Balochistan Police and other security institutions.
The council said expressions of solidarity would also be made with the families of the victims and security personnel.
The statement added that the public would be informed about what it described as the hostile designs of India, Israel and other anti-Pakistan forces.
It further strongly condemned the use of Afghan soil by “Fitna-al-Hindustan” and “Fitna-al-Khawarij” for activities aimed at destabilising Pakistan.
Separately, the Pakistan Ulema Council appealed for the observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day across the country on February 5.
The council said prayers, seminars and conferences would be held in mosques and religious seminaries nationwide.
Special prayers will be offered for the success and relief of the Kashmiri people following congregational Fajr prayers, while seminars, gatherings and conferences focusing on the Kashmir issue will be organised to raise public awareness about the situation in the region.
