ISLAMABAD, Oct 6 (APP): Member National Assembly Maiza Hameed Thursday said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf’s boycott to the joint session of the Parliament gave a negative message to the nation.

Talking to APP about Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s address to the joint session of the Parliament on Wednesday, she said all the political parties and opposition were on the same page during the joint session except PTI.

“Whenever there is a need for political unity on national issues, Imran Khan starts beating about the bush and gives lame excuses”, she said.

“Imran Khan just talks about the Kashmir issue but when the time comes to support the Kashmiris, he stays out of the Parliament, as he did in the joint session”, she added.

The Prime Minister’s address at the UN followed by All Parties Conference (APC) and today’s joint session of the Parliament reflected the seriousness of the government towards resolving the longstanding issue of Kashmir, she remarked.

She said, the government will continue its all out support to Kashmiris till their independence.
