PTI not to give PAC chairmanship to opposition: Fayazul Hassan Chohan

LAHORE, Oct 04 (APP):Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Fayazul Hassan Chohan on Thursday said that permission could not be granted to hide the corruption of five years through the platform of Public Accounts Committee.
He said, “It is not possible that the new government does not investigate the corruption done by the former government and also elect Hamza Shehbaz as the chairman of Public Accounts Committee.”
He was talking to media persons outside the Punjab Assembly here.
The Minister said that Hamza Shehbaz could influence the investigations regarding financial embezzlement done by the former government. If he was made chairman PAC then it would be equivalent to giving the responsibility of guarding the milk to a cat.
The minister said that he as the Spokesman Punjab government, opposed Hamza Shehbaz’s appointment as chairman PAC.
He said that appointing any member of the former Punjab government, especially Hamza Shehbaz as a Chairman PAC, was not acceptable to the PTI government.
