PTI govt taking steps to control climate change
LAHORE, Apr 03 (APP):Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmud-ur-Rasheed Wednesday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had taken effective steps to beautify the cities of Punjab and bring about a real change in environment.
He stated this while visiting flower show organized by the Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) at Jillani Park.
The event featured more than 100 flowering plants of local and imported species, including Zenia, Patunia, Snap Dragon, Clarkia, Fareezia and Geranium. The flowering plants displayed at the exhibition included both seasonal and annual
species.
The minister took a round of different stalls and appreciated efforts of the organizers for successful holding of the event for amusements of citizens.
Mian Mahmud ur Rasheed also lauded the skills and art work of the organizers for arranging flowers in an attractive and beautiful manner. He said that flower shows not only provided entertainment to people but also promoted a trend to grow different kinds of beautiful flowers.
