PTI govt committed to empower women: CM Buzdar

LAHORE, Dec 21 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was committed to include womenfolk in national mainstream and empowering them in the ‘New Pakistan’ under the leaership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.In his message issued on Friday in connection with the National Day of Rights of Working Women, he said Pakistan could not progress without giving rights to women, adding that women would have to play an active role in socio-economic and cultural development of the country.
“The rights given by Islam to women are unprecedented, having no other example in the history,” he added. Pakistani women have earned a niche in different sectors with their abilities and multifarious talents. Similarly, their role in administrative and defence related institutions was also very important, he added.
Usman Buzdar said that purpose of celebrating this day was to acknowledge the strong role played by women in national development.
The CM said that on this day, we should make a commitment to perform our responsibilities for protecting the rights of women around us.
