ISLAMABAD, Dec 29 (APP): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi on Monday filed their appeals to Islamabad High Court (IHC) challenging their conviction and sentence in Toshakhana-II case.
The registrar’s office of IHC had given diary number 24560 to the appeals, which were moved through lawyer Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry.
The appeal adopted the stance that Inaamullah Shah, who had become approver, had been terminated from the job, but the trial court depended on his statement.
It claimed that the prosecution couldn’t prove its case against the appellants, including Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The petitioners prayed the court to set aside the verdict of the trial court against them, adding that multiple sentences couldn’t be given in the same case.
It further said that the special judge central was not authorized to hear this case. It said that Sohaib Abbasi has been made an approver illegally.
