The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced the upgradation of its Device Identification, Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS) to enhance services for both the general public and commercial entities.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 02 (APP): The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced the upgradation of its Device Identification, Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS) to enhance services for both the general public and commercial entities.
The authority said the upgraded, in-house developed system would simplify the device registration process for all users said a news release.
Due to the scheduled upgrade, the DIRBS portal and all related services would remain temporarily unavailable from 5:00 pm on July 3, until 4:00 am on July 6.
PTA expressed appreciation for the cooperation and understanding of end users and commercial entities during the system upgradation period.
