ISLAMABAD, Jan 8 (APP):The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with ZTE Pakistan, successfully conducted a two-day capacity-building training on Fixed-Line and Wireless Network Technologies on January 6 and 7 at PTA Headquarters, Islamabad.
The inaugural session was addressed by Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, Chairman PTA, who highlighted structured and continuous capacity building as a strategic priority of PTA for 2026, aimed at enhancing regulatory effectiveness in an evolving digital landscape.
Senior leadership from ZTE Pakistan, including Chief Executive Officer, Li Guowen, and Executive Vice President, Rizwan Rathore, participated in the programme and reaffirmed their commitment to technical knowledge sharing and institutional support.
The training covered key areas such as microwave evolution for 5G, IP and optical transport networks, fixed broadband technologies, 5G RAN evolution, core network digitalization, and digital service capabilities.
The closing ceremony was graced by Dr. Khawar Siddique Khokhar, Member (Compliance & Enforcement), he appreciated the active participation of attendees and reiterated PTA’s commitment to continuous professional development through industry collaboration.
