The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) continues to strengthen field monitoring and inspections of mobile network infrastructure across the country to improve service quality, coverage, and availability.
PTA inspects 115 telecom sites in One Week to improve Mobile Service Quality across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP):The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) continues to strengthen field monitoring and inspections of mobile network infrastructure across the country to improve service quality, coverage, and availability.
During the week from 30th September to 7th October, 2026, PTA’s zonal offices’ teams inspected total 115 telecom sites across various regions of Pakistan.
The inspections covered 39 sites in Lahore, 17 in Karachi, 16 in Sukkur, 14 each in Multan and Rawalpindi, 8 in Quetta, 4 in Abbottabad, and 3 in Gilgit.
The field teams assessed network performance, voice and data services quality, coverage, and the availability of backup power arrangements.
Improvements in mobile service quality have also been observed in several of the areas covered by these inspections.
The monitoring exercise focused on identifying issues affecting consumers, including call connection failures, dropped calls, slow mobile internet speeds, and network coverage gaps.
Field teams also reviewed consumer feedback and complaints to better understand service-related challenges.
Engagement with local administrations, elected representatives, and community members were undertaken to facilitate the identification and resolution of issues affecting mobile services in different areas.
Where deficiencies or technical issues are identified at telecom sites and towers, the relevant mobile operators are directed to undertake necessary corrective measures.
These interventions are aimed at addressing service-related shortcomings and ensuring sustained improvements in network performance.
PTA remains committed to strengthening regulatory oversight, monitoring mobile operators’ performance, and ensuring timely identification and resolution of consumer concerns.
These ongoing efforts aim to improve the quality, reliability, and availability of mobile telecommunications services and enhance the overall experience of consumers across Pakistan.
