ISLAMABAD, Jul 25 (APP):The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), successfully concluded a five-day capacity-building workshop titled “DNS Operations and DNSSEC Workshop”.
The workshop aimed to enhance technical expertise in the telecom sector and improve DNSSEC revalidation capabilities. Participants included representatives from telecom operators and key stakeholders.
In a significant achievement, Pakistan’s DNSSEC revalidation score on the APNIC website has now surpassed 85%, the highest in the region, marking Pakistan’s growing commitment to internet security.
Chairman PTA, Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, HI (M), graced the closing ceremony and emphasized PTA’s commitment to strengthening cyber resilience. Khawar Saddique Khokhar Member (Compliance & Enforcement), was also present at the ceremony. Shields were presented to ICANN trainers Fahd Batayneh and Mohamed Yazid Akanho.
