ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP):The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with TikTok, successfully organized a Community Guidelines Training Workshop.
 The workshop was attended by over 100 participants, including senior PTA officers, representatives from relevant government organizations, academia, civil society, and the digital sector.
During the workshop, experts from TikTok’s Trust and Safety team conducted a comprehensive training session on the platform’s Community Guidelines, content moderation framework, reporting mechanisms, and measures adopted to promote user safety. The training enhanced participants’ understanding of TikTok’s policies and the platform’s approach to fostering a safe and responsible online environment.
Chairman PTA, Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, HI (M), SI, addressed the workshop and emphasized that ensuring a safe, trusted, and responsible digital environment requires sustained collaboration among regulators, digital platforms, and all relevant stakeholders.
The workshop also provided an opportunity for PTA, TikTok, and other stakeholders to exchange views on online safety, responsible digital engagement, and the emerging challenges facing the digital ecosystem.
The workshop reflects PTA’s continued commitment to working closely with digital platforms and relevant stakeholders to promote digital literacy, enhance online safety, and foster a safe, responsible, and inclusive digital environment in Pakistan.
