ISLAMABAD, Feb 3 (APP): The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday witnessed bullish trend, gaining 1,842.91 points, a positive change of 1.00 percent, to close at 186,900.74 points compared to 185,057.83 points on the previous trading day, according to PSX data.

During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 848.559 million shares with a traded value of Rs 50.025 billion, against 740.092 million shares valuing Rs 42.204 billion in the previous session. Market capitalization increased to Rs 21.149 trillion from Rs 20.969 trillion a day earlier.

Out of 486 active companies in the ready market, 294 advanced, 145 declined, while 47 remained unchanged.

K-Electric Limited topped the volume chart with 99.508 million shares, followed by First National Equities with 91.350 million shares and K-Electric with 86.293 million shares.

The top gainers included Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited , which rose by Rs 110.17 to close at Rs 27,139.81, and Blessed Textile Limited, which gained Rs 61.34 to settle at Rs 674.77.

On the losing side, PIA Holding Company LimitedB declined by Rs 304.49 to close at Rs 19,494.51, while Sazgar Engineering Works Limited fell by Rs 40.88 to close at Rs 2,302.05.

In the futures market, turnover stood at 179.774 million shares with a traded value of Rs 12.640 billion, compared to 114.500 million shares worth Rs 9.205 billion in the previous session.

Out of 328 futures-market companies, 254 recorded gains, while 72 declined with two remaining unchanged.
