Provision of justice at people's doorsteps, part of PTI govt’s vision: PM

ISLAMABAD, Dec 19 (APP):Prime Minister Imran Khan Wednesday said the provision of justice at the doorsteps of people was an important part of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government’s vision.

He was talking to a lawyers’ delegation hailing from Faisalabad Bar. Minister for Law and Justice Dr Farogh Naseem, members of the National Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmed, Raza Nasrullah Ghuman, Shaikh Khurram Shahzad, Nawab Shair Waseer, Faizullah Kamoka, Farrukh Habib and Attorney General for Pakistan Anwar Mansoor Khan were also present during the meeting, PM office media wing in a press release said.
With regard to lawyers’ demand for establishment of a bench, the prime minister directed the law minister to hold consultations with the judges of the superior judiciary and stakeholders, so that a solution to their demand could be sorted out.
During the meeting, the lawyers’ delegation apprised the prime minister about their demand for establishment of High Court Bench in Faisalabad and said the total population of the area stood more than 20 million.
Despite, such a huge population and being an industrial and business center, the residents of Faisalabad had to travel to Lahore to pursue their cases pertaining to corporate sector and others which created huge problems for them, they added.
