KARACHI, Jan 10 (APP):Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Thursday said that provision of basic facilities to the masses at their doorsteps was the topmost priority of the incumbent government.Talking to a delegation of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) led by its Director General (DG) Ahmed Taimur Nasir which called on him at the Governor House, he said that the performance of BISP was satisfactory. Imran Ismail said it was the need of the hour that deserving people must be pointed out properly. He said that BISP's role in bringing improvement to the lives of ordinary citizens was of utmost importance. The Governor issued directives for the improvement in performance of NGOs affiliated with BISP. The Governor was briefed that the data of 155 million needy people had been successfully compiled by the BISP. The Director General said that the data for issuance of national health card was also being compiled by BISP. He apprised that NADRA, FBR, Passport and Immigration Department and others were also being coordinated for the verification purpose of the data.
