Progress of society dependent on provision of speedy justice: Chairman Senate

ISLAMABAD, Apr 02 (APP):Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani Tuesday here said progress of a country and society was dependent on cheap and speedy justice to the citizens.

Speaking to Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz, he said speedy relief to citizens could help fulfill the dream of social and economic progress.

The chairman said the common man wanted immediate solution of his issues and the state institutions and government would have to take further steps, adding steps for provision of speedy justice could bring into the mainstream the backward sections of society and far flung regions.

The federal ombudsman presented to the Chairman Senate the yearly report 2018 of his office.

Chairman Senate appreciated the measures taken by the Federal Ombudsman for providing relief to the people.

The chairman Senate said international best practices and latest strategies should be adopted to resolve issues facing the people.
