Prof Noshad A Shaikh assumes charge of DUHS’ vice chancellor

KARACHI, Oct 27 (APP): Prof Noshad A Shaikh here on Tuesday
assumed his responsibility as Vice Chancellor of Dow University of
Health Sciences (DUHS).
Appointment of Dr. Shaikh against the given post has been made
for a period of four years.
According to a notification the Sindh Governor has appointed Dr.
Noshad A Shaikh on the advice of Government (Sindh Chief Minister), as
in exercise of powers vested under Section 12 (1) of Dow University of
Health Act 2004 (as amended).
Prof. Shaikh who previously also held the responsibility of
provincial health secretary as well as vice chancellor of Liaqut
University of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad.
He also remained associated with Dow Medical College and Sindh
Medical College respectively for quite long prior to the establishment
of DUHS. Prof. Shaikh has replaced Prof. Masood Hameed Khan, the founder
vice chancellor of the university who retired after realizing his
responsibilities a few months ago.
