LAHORE, Nov 19 (APP): Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA)
Chairman Mian Amer Mehmood and Cable Operators Association President Khalid Arain on Saturday thanked the Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar for listening their problems and gave assurance to resolve them.
Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday presided over the meeting of the cable operators at 90 Shahrah e Quaid i Azam. The meeting in detailed reviewed the problems facing the cable operators.
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Chairman
Absar Alam told the meeting that PEMRA had always tried to solve the problems of cable operators.
On issues related to Direct to Home (DTH) a committee was formed
in which four members of PEMRA, four of PBA and four of cable operators would sit together and discuss the problems in detail and would come up with the recommendations in a meeting tomorrow (Sunday) that would be presided over by Federal Finance Minister.
There was consensus in the meeting that complete ban on Indian channels should maintain.

meeting.
