ISLAMABAD, Dec 24 (APP):Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry while terming privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) a historic step on Wednesday said that it reflects strong investor confidence in Pakistan’s economy.
In his message on social media platform X, the minister congratulated Arif Habib Ltd consortium on the successful Rs. 135 billion bid for PIA.
“This milestone is a positive signal of economic stability, effective reforms, and renewed trust in Pakistan’s future,” he wrote on X.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with the efforts of Deputy PM Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Muhammad Ali Advisor on Privatization, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and the support of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan continues to move toward growth, transparency, and economic revival,” he said.
