PM acknowledges security forces’ contributions for improving peace, stability in Balochistan

QUETTA, Oct 06 (APP):Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday acknowledged and appreciated contributions of security forces
towards improving peace, stability and socio-economic development of the province
of Balochistan.
The Prime Minister Imran Khan along with Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan and lead
federal ministers visited Headquarters Southern Command at Quetta Cantt, said a
press release issued Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa received the Prime Minister at Quetta Air Base.
The Prime Minister said that through a comprehensive national effort, cooperation between federal
and provincial governments and assistance of Pakistan Army we would realise the
true potentials of Balochistan. He said that only a cohesive national effort would
In Sha Allah take provinces and the country to the rightful destination of peace, progress and prosperity.
A detailed briefing on security situation of the province, challenges and response was given. The Prime Minister was also briefed about socio-economic development based Khushal Balochistan
program, security of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects and
progress of fencing along Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The COAS said that having achieved stability in troubled areas of KP, lately security forces focus
had been on Balochistan, which was economic future of Pakistan.
