LAHORE, Sep 13 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Tuesday offered Eidul Azha prayer at his Jati Umra residence in Raiwind.

Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National
Heritage Senator Pervez Rashid, the prime minister’s family members including son Hussain Nawaz, nephews Hamza Shahbaz and Salman Shahbaz, MNA Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar and a large number of PML-N workers accompanied him in the prayer.

The prime minister along with other worshippers offered
special prayers for peace, security and prosperity of the country.

After the prayer, the prime minister mixed up with the people
and exchanged Eid greetings.

Later, addressing the party workers, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that Eidul Azha was celebrated to commemorate the great sacrifice rendered by Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) and Hazrat Ismail (A.S) to teach us the lesson of selflessness.

He said by the grace of Allah Almighty and prayers by the
people of Pakistan, he had recuperated from illness.

He apprised the audience that consequent to the efforts by the government, country was heading towards peace, development and prosperity.

He urged the people to forge unity in order to rid the country
of extremism.

The prime minister asked the party workers to join the
government’s efforts to make Pakistan a prosperous country.
