President Zardari felicitates Péter Magyar on winning Hungary polls

ISLAMABAD, Apr (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday congratulated Péter Magyar on winning the parliamentary elections in Hungary.

The president, in a statement, expressed confidence that under his leadership, Pakistan-Hungary relations would continue to grow, with enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Expressing best wishes for Péter Magyar, the president prayed for Hungary’s progress and prosperity under his leadership.

In Hungary’s parliamentary election with a record voter turnout, the Tisza party, led by Péter Magyar secured a two-thirds majority in the 199-seat National Assembly. The polls marked the end of Viktor Orbán’s 16-year rule, who conceded defeat.
