President strongly condemns terrorist attack on police checkpost in Hangu

ISLAMABAD, Jul 30 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday strongly condemned the attack by Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists on a police check post in Hangu district and expressed profound grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of DSP Diyar Khan and other police personnel.

“The sacrifices of our brave police officers and personnel are a national asset. The martyrs who laid down their lives for the peace of our beloved homeland will always be remembered,” the president said in a statement.

He vowed to completely eliminate the terrorists operating with external backing against Pakistan, along with their facilitators.

The president prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, for patience and strength for their bereaved families, and for the speedy recovery of the injured.

He also paid tribute to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police for killing the terrorists.
