ISLAMABAD, Nov 3 (APP):President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday strongly condemned the firing incident targeting police personnel deployed to safeguard the polio vaccination team in Pindiali Tehsil of Mohmand District.
The president, in a statement, expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of the police personnel in the attack and paid rich tribute to them for their devotion to duty, bravery, and valuable services to the nation.
He said that targeting police personnel performing their duties in the national campaign to protect children from polio was extremely regrettable and condemnable.
The president expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured police official.
