ISLAMABAD, Jul 31 (APP):Mian Muhammad Rauf Atta, President, Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP), made a goodwill visit to the Pakistani High Commission in London (UK), where he was warmly received by Mohammad Faisal, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to the UK.
According to a press note released here Thursday, the President SCBAP was accompanied by representatives of International Lawyers Association Imran Panaawala Chairman, Rizwan Sulahreia, Founding Chairman and Moazzam Ali Sandhu, Advisor to Chairman.
The meeting covered a wide range of topics, including the Indian government’s unilateral decision to place the Indus Water Treaty (IWT) in abeyance. Both sides emphasized that Pakistan’s commitment to international peace should not be misconstrued by our adversaries as an opportunity for aggression against her.
At this juncture, the President SCBAP also praised the role of the Pakistani diaspora in the development and progress of the UK. He also appreciated the role of Pakistani lawyers in UK, in this regard. He urged the Pakistani High Commission to enhance support for the Pakistani community in the UK by facilitating their needs and introducing streamlined online platforms to address their queries efficiently.
