President SCBAP calls on CJP

ISLAMABAD, Jul 17 (APP):On the International Justice Day being marked today, the President, Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP), Mian Muhammad Rauf Atta, called upon Justice Yahya Afridi, Chief Justice of Pakistan, at the SCP’s registry branch in Quetta.
According to a press note released here Thursday, the President SCBAP was accompanied by Mr. Attaullah Langove, President Baluchistan High Court Bar Association, and Mr. Akbar Shah, Member of the Baluchistan Bar Council.
The meeting encapsulated discussions on the important role of a vibrant and effective judiciary. In this regard, the longstanding and celebrated partnership between the Bench and the Bar was termed “indispensable” for the active judicial system responsible for expeditious dispensation of justice to the public at large.
Moreover, both sides underscored that a robust justice delivery system holds cardinal significance for an independent judiciary, unwavering commitment to the rule of law, supremacy of the Constitution, and the upholding of fundamental human rights, as well as being a precondition for a strong democratic system.
At this juncture, the President SCBAP also appreciated all the institutional as well as the general initiatives taken by the Chief Justice of Pakistan concerning the easy, speedy, and prompt delivery of justice to litigants / general public. The President also briefly conveyed the issues faced by the legal fraternity of Baluchistan and requested their urgent resolution, which was met with assurance by the Chief Justice of Pakistan
