President, PM hail security forces for eliminating 49 terrorists in KP, Balochistan

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid tribute to the security forces and police for successfully eliminating 49 terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij in joint intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 21 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid tribute to the security forces and police for successfully eliminating 49 terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij in joint intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
President Zardari commended the security forces and police for carrying out the successful intelligence-based operations and eliminating the terrorists, a Presidency’s news release said.
He said the terrorist elements operating with external support would never succeed in undermining Pakistan’s peace and stability.
The president reiterated that operations against terrorists would continue with full force until the complete eradication of terrorism from the country.
He expressed confidence that the people of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would soon be completely rid of the menace of terrorism and would move towards peace, national development and prosperity.
In a separate news release, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to the security forces for the successful operations against terrorists in the two provinces.
He said the security forces and police, in joint operations, had eliminated a total of 49 terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan.
The prime minister said the successful operations were a manifestation of the professional expertise of Pakistan’s security forces and police.
He reiterated the government’s resolve to completely eliminate terrorism from the country and ensure lasting peace and security for the people.
The president and the prime minister reaffirmed the national resolve to defeat terrorism and commended the personnel of the security forces and police for their professionalism, courage and sacrifices in the fight against the menace.
