President Mamnoon stresses Muslim unity to counter propaganda

ISLAMABAD, Nov 23 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain Monday said that Muslims around the world should work with unity and mutual harmony to counter propaganda against Islam and Muslims for which the platform of Muslim World League (MWL) was appropriate.
The President said this while talking to Dr Abdullah Bin Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki, Secretary General Muslim World League (MWL) who called on him along with a delegation at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, here.Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and National Harmony
Sardar Muhammad Yousuf and Minister of State for Religious Affairs
and National Harmony Pir Muhammad Amin-ul-Hasnat were also present
on the occasion, said a press release.
The President stated that there could be difference of opinion
in Islam but no one was allowed to impose one’s views on others. In
this regard, Muslim World League can play a positive role to create
harmony amongst the Muslims, he said.
He said that around 60,000 Pakistanis have been martyred due
to terrorism in Pakistan and emphasized that the country was working
earnestly to eliminate this scourge.
He underscored that there was a need to adopt other means as
well along with force to end terrorism so that people are stopped
from getting inclined toward extremism.
President Mamnoon said that Muslim countries should enhance
mutual cooperation in the fields of trade, education and
particularly in science and technology so that attainment of
progress and prosperity in the Muslim world could be possible.

Muslim World League while seconding the views of the President said
that MWL was endeavouring to end extremism and ignorance.
