ISLAMABAD, Apr 10 (APP):President Dr Arif Alvi Wednesday urged the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) to adopt modern techniques in order to make the auditing more effective for saving the national kitty from economic loss.
In a meeting with Auditor General of Pakistan Javed Jahangir, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the president lauded the services of the AGP for maintaining the accountability and transparency, said a President House statement.
The auditor general also presented the annual reports of the organization to the president.
The president said the elimination of corrupt elements was inevitable to achieve country’s development.
