President for further enhancing Pakistan-Azerbaijan ties in diverse fields
APP57-22 ISLAMABAD: October 22 - Chief of State Border Services of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev called on President Dr. Arif Alvi at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. APP

ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):President Dr. Arif Alvi on Monday said that Pakistan highly valued its close brotherly relations with Azerbaijan and was desirous of further enhancing these relations in all fields.
He was talking to Chief of State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Elchin Guliyev who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The President highlighted that the two countries had common position on key global and regional issues and they supported each other at international forums which was a reflection of close and brotherly relations between the both counties.
He expressed satisfaction that defence cooperation between the two countries had been strengthening steadily, adding that there was a need to further strengthen this cooperation by exploring the possibilities of joint ventures.
The President further stated that the present state of our bilateral economic cooperation was not commensurate with its true potential, thus there was a need to enhance the volume of bilateral trade.
